Vakantiewoningruil : Our house to swap is in Amsterdam
Would like to go to : Ibiza, Spain
We are living on the very famous Java-Eiland !
Our apartment is situated on the fourth floor (with elevator) and includes a spacious livingroom with open kitchen. Also a bedroom with double bed, from 2 other bedrooms we've made 1 big bedroom, there's a battery bed and we have (if it's necessary) a two persons mattress, further we have a bathroom with bath and shower, separate toilet and a big rooftop. Spectacular are the views of the water - with Cruisseships. The house is surrounded by water, typical Amsterdam. In summer you can swim here, have dinner/BBQ and enjoy the sun.

This part of Amsterdam is called ‘Java Island’ it's a real Island ! An architectural hotspot: famous for its new buildings, renovated warehouses and 20th century architecture. Plus a relaxed atmosphere. The "Java" island has a History of the golden century. It was used by the "East Indian Company" and there where only wharehouses. They removed the wharehouses and build nice apartments, little canals and small bridges. It is a very relaxing place to stay.

It's a very well known silent area of Amsterdam. Everybody in town wants to live in this area! Although its in the innercity its very quiet. But in fact its close to everyting you want to see in the innercity, cause most things are walkable. Within 15 minutes walk: you can go to the Hermitage, the palace on Dam square, to the wellknown flee market: the Waterloo square, the botanical garden, the Rembrandt house, lots of galleries, the cinema, Leidse square, the Nemo museum, The Tropical Institute, the train station, The Bijenkorf and Magna Plaza (beautiful ware houses), the library, or a boat trip on the canal.
By train its 20 minutes to the beach of Zandvoort. or 40 minutes cycling to the Amsterdam woods. with lakes to canoo, a place to go horseriding, and the famous outdoor theatre!
